Martha S. Housholder

MD, FAAD, FACP
Dr. Housholder earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital and her dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. Dr. Housholder is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Physicians. She is a member of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County, Kansas Medical Society, Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Housholder has been in private practice at The Dermatology Clinic since 1978.

Krista E. Shackelford

MD, FAAD
Dr. Shackelford is board certified in Dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, KS. She completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN. Past practice affiliations include Dermatology Physicians, Inc. in Columbus, Indiana and staff physician at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Dr. Shackelford is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County, Kansas Medical Society, Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She was elected to and served on the board of directors for the Medical Society of Sedgwick County 2016-2018 and The Ethics Committee 2019. Additional commitments have included medical director of the Wichita Area Free Skin Cancer Screening Clinic 2010-2014, assistant professor of clinical dermatology with Indiana University’s Department of Dermatology 2006-2007, and participation in numerous fundraisers and charity events. Currently, she is a fund advisor for The George R. Tiller MD Memorial Fund for The Advancement of Women’s Health. 

Dr. Shackelford was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as Health Care Hero for Community Outreach in 2012.

She joined The Dermatology Clinic, P.A. in 2007.

Dr. Stanley Capper

MD, FAAD

Dr. Capper earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver Medical School, Iowa City, IA in 1967. He earned a certificate of Physical Therapy from Iowa Carver Medical School in 1959 prior to his Medical Degree. He completed his rotating internship at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, WA, in 1968. He served from 1968-1970 in the U.S. Army at Irwin Army Hospital, Ft Riley, KS, and completed his dermatology residency in 1973 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, OH. He practiced at the Wichita Clinic from 1973-2020.


He is a Life Member of American Academy of Dermatology, member of American Medical Association, Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and Sedgwick County Medical Society.


He joined The Dermatology Clinic in June, 2020.


Dr. Anne Housholder

MD, MPH, MTS
Anne Housholder, MD, MPH, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Cincinnati. She received a BA in Classical Languages from Davidson College. Following college, she briefly taught high school Latin. She received a Master of Theological Studies from Duke University, where her thesis concerned moral formation in medicine. She received a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine from Tulane University before arriving at the University of Cincinnati for her Dermatology residency.
